Offering excellent advice and great service relies on having people who are skilled, personable and practical – so naturally we take the recruitment and training of our staff very seriously.

With over 130 staff, we are one of the largest firms of solicitors in North Yorkshire. Although we pride ourselves in having below average turnover of staff, we do recruit new members of staff from time to time to fill existing posts or to help us in areas where we are further developing our business.

We post information about specific vacancies on this page when we are actively recruiting. In general terms, we tend to recruit the following kinds of people:

  • Solicitors, Legal Executives and others with significant practical experience who can advise our clients in specific areas of the law 
  • ‘Front line’ support staff who can work closely and effectively with our professional advisers and with the clients they serve 
  • Other support staff who, ‘behind the scenes’, can help the business run more smoothly and efficient

In all cases, personal aptitude is as important as practical experience. The Harrowells ‘difference’ is that we bring fresh thinking to bear on the issues faced by our clients and our business and deal with them in a practical manner.
