Sometimes schools or local authorities fail to nurture or protect children in their care. If you have concerns, we can advise whether you can use the law to ensure things are put right.
The overwhelming majority of teachers and other child care professionals work really hard to look after the children in their care. Sadly there are sometimes serious problems not dealt with promptly or adequately. For example, your child:
- might not have been identified as having a special educational need such as dyslexia and so denied the support they need to thrive
- might be subject to bullying that was not recognised or dealt with effectively
- might have been subject to physical or sexual abuse because adequate safeguards were not in place
