Olivia Buck

Olivia Buck is a solicitor and partner within our Residential Conveyancing Department and specialises in advising clients on the purchase and sale of high value residential property. As such, she is well versed with the particular requirements and issues relating to listed buildings and other properties of unusual historic or architectural status.

Properties of this nature benefit, in particular, from the attention of legal specialists who can draw on their expertise to address potential issues ahead of time; this, together with the ability to work with a range of specialist professionals, ensures the smooth running and successful completion of transactions.

Olivia’s proactive approach, technical expertise and desire to understand her clients’ property aspirations are highlighted in the independent legal directory Chambers & Co:

"Her knowledge of complicated aspects and the detail of property was excellent," says a buying agent, who highlights her "ability to think laterally to overcome problems." Another source notes that "she is approachable and very reactive to her clients."

Olivia acts for individuals, charities, companies and funds purchasing and selling high value residential property, including flats, houses, country houses and estates. She also acts for borrowers, and their lenders, mortgaging residential property as well as for individuals looking to extend their leasehold flat leases, or individuals looking to enfranchise their leasehold houses. She also acts for landlords of residential blocks and is very familar with the s5 process under the 1987 Act.

Olivia recently joined Harrowells from Macfarlanes LLP in the City of London and has ten years’ experience of advising clients on high value residential property matters. Olivia has a BA Hons Oxon in History and an MA in architectural history from the Courtauld Institute of Art.
