A solicitor and partner, and Head of our Agricultural Property department, Katie specialises in agricultural law and advises on both agricultural and commercial property transactions. Her diligent, personable and commercial approach is appreciated by her clients and other professionals alike.
Drawing on her specialist training in land and property law, together with her wider agricultural knowledge, Katie ensures details concerning legal title, access, drainage and other rights or easements, and any tenancy rights or obligations, are addressed in a timely and thorough fashion to aid smooth completion of land sales and purchases.
Katie is also very experienced in working alongside land agents, accountants and other professionals to dovetail the legal aspects of land ownership with wider plans regarding the development of the farming business, potential changes to company or partnership structures, succession planning and tax planning.
Katie also has considerable experience of dealing with more specialist matters such as the negotiation and appraisal of overage agreements in the context of the sale and development of land; diversification into wider commercial activities and the planning, tax and other associated aspects; and the specific issues that can arise in relation to AHA tenancies.
Katie is a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association and qualified as a solicitor in 2016.
Katie Daniel is supervised by the Head of Property, Stephen Proctor.
