Ruth Rogers is a Senior Solicitor specialising in Employment Law whose clients appreciate her calm, approachable manner and her focussed approach and attention to detail, particularly in fast moving situations.
Ruth advises business managers on a wide range of issues including the drafting of contracts of employment and policies, helping employers navigate disciplinary, absence and grievance issues, as well as advising on business restructuring and redundancy procedures and defending employers against discrimination and unfair dismissal cases in Tribunal proceedings.
Ruth also advises employees who are facing unfair treatment or discrimination at work, those who are seeking advice on their employment contract or their employment rights, or who are wanting advice on settlement agreements.
Ruth obtained a law degree from Aberystwyth University and a Legal Practice Diploma from the College of York. Ruth qualified in 2003 at a leading North West law firm and specialised in Employment Law from the outset. Prior to joining Harrowells, Ruth spent a number of years working as a Practice Manager in a regional law firm and as an in-house solicitor at a large boarding school in the North West.
