Celebrating local food producers in the Dales
The Dales Festival of Food and Drink (Leyburn 17-18th June) is a fantastic celebration of the vitality of food production in the Yorkshire Dales. Always an important feature of the Dales' economy, the range and quality of local food and drink production has steadily increased over the years.
As one of the Festival's sponsors, it is really pleasing to see Dales' businesses in the food, drink, tourism and hospitality sectors all coming together to promote themselves and celebrate their achievements.
This year there will be 80 stalls in Leyburn Market Square, cookery demonstrations, a Gift and Craft Fair, cheese making demonstrations at the Wensleydale Creamery together with local bands adding to the festival atmosphere.
