Partner and Head of Family

Amy Foweather is Head of the Family Department at Harrowells.  Amy joined the firm in 2019 from a leading national law firm as partner, working with their London, Leeds and Harrogate offices. Amy has over 15 years of experience within family law and is a well-known divorce lawyer.

Amy specialises in all aspects of Family and Child Law.  She advises clients on the legal, practical and financial implications of separation in a wide range of cases. She helps clients to both prepare for separation and to represent them throughout the process, so to achieve the best result for her client, both within and outside of court proceedings.

Amy has considerable experience within a range of financial cases, including those cases of modest value, but also high net worth cases, including experience with complex business structures, tax and trust implications, enforcement, intervenor cases, farming partnerships and cases with international elements.

Amy is also highly experienced and well known for her work within Child Law, including child arrangements orders, relocation cases, child abduction and cases with public law elements, having previously represented children directly whilst on the children panel.

Her work also includes advice and work to protect assets, such as pre and post – nuptial agreements.

A good working relationship with counsel and other experts also means that Amy is equipped to quickly put together the right team for your case. Recognising that every case different, Amy will adopt her approach as needed and works hard to proactively meet objectives.

Amy has represented a wide range of clients, including TV personalities and well known authors.
