John Coulson

Partner

John Coulson is a Solicitor and Partner with more than 30 years’ experience representing claimants in clinical negligence and serious injury claims. He is highly experienced in negotiating complex claims and is focused on achieving the best possible outcome for his clients.

Qualifications

John qualified as a Solicitor in 1994 and has spent more than three decades working in claimant litigation. He joined Harrowells over ten years ago and is a Partner in the Clinical Negligence team.

Experience and specialisms

John has extensive experience handling complex and high-value clinical negligence claims, including cases involving significant and life-changing injuries. He understands the considerable physical, emotional and financial impact that serious injury or medical negligence can have on individuals and their families, and provides clear, practical advice throughout the claims process.

His experience includes negotiating with opposing parties and their legal representatives to secure appropriate compensation for clients. His approach combines detailed legal knowledge with a strong focus on achieving practical results.

John is also a former Deputy District Judge, an experience which provides valuable insight into the court process.
