Harrowells Solicitors has announced the expansion of its highly regarded Agricultural Law team with the recent appointment of Charlotte Boyes. Charlotte joins the team at a time of significantly increased demand for specialist advice following the changes to Inheritance Tax reliefs affecting farms and rural businesses.

Charlotte is an Associate Solicitor and is based in Harrowells Pocklington office assisting clients across East Yorkshire and Ryedale.

Head of Department Katie Daniel said the strengthening of the team reflects both client need and Harrowells commitment to providing sector-leading expertise across the region.

“Changes to agricultural and business property relief have prompted many farming families to review their succession and tax-planning arrangements,” she said. “Charlotte’s experience and practical understanding of rural legal matters will be invaluable to our clients in navigating these changes.”

Alongside Katie and Charlotte, the Agricultural team includes existing team members, Senior Associate Solicitor Jacqueline Barr, and Associate Solicitor Nicole Dawson, who have extensive experience in supporting farming families, landowners and rural businesses.

With an expanded team and consistently high industry recognition, Harrowells is well positioned to support landowners, farming families and rural businesses with the full range of agricultural legal services, from succession planning and tax advice to land transactions, tenancy issues and business restructuring.
