Yorkshire law firm Harrowells has appointed Solicitor and Head of Family, Amy Foweather, as a director of the business.

Amy joined Harrowells in 2018 in a partner role, and in 2023 she took on responsibility for leading the family law team.

Amy is a highly experienced family lawyer, specialising in high-net-worth and complex cases, including those with complicated business and agricultural structures. She advises clients in relation to both asset protection and matters arising from separation and divorce, including financial settlement and arrangements for children. Amy has a strong professional profile across Yorkshire.

Commenting on her appointment, Amy said: “Having been part of Harrowells since 2018, I have seen how much the business and our family team have continued to develop across all seven offices.  Client care, expertise, and a positive working culture are at the heart of what we offer, and that is important to me. I am incredibly proud to take on the role of Director and to continue working with such a talented and ambitious team. I look forward to being involved in the firm’s future development and continuing to work alongside such a talented and committed group of professionals whilst doing so.”

Harrowells Managing Director, Robert Onyett, said: “Amy has made a significant contribution to Harrowells since joining the firm and has played an important role in the development of our family team. Her energy, drive and commerciality will be a great asset to the Board and I’m sure she will play a key part in supporting the future development of the business over the coming years.”

Amy’s appointment reflects Harrowells’ continued focus on developing its people and providing opportunities for progression within the firm.
