Harrowells Solicitors was the main sponsor of the York Professionals' 2016 gala dinner, held on 18th May, marking the fifteenth anniversary of the formation of the business support and networking group.
The firm played a key role in the setting up of the group which is dedicated to promoting the city's professional sector as a source of prosperity and employment. Corporate and commercial partner Philip Lewis Ogden has served as York Professionals' company secretary since its inception.
The key speakers at the gala dinner included Kate Adie who recounted highlights from her time as the BBC's chief news correspondent and David Bryon who recalled humorous episodes and a number of salutory lessons learnt during the setting up of the innovative budget airline, bmibaby.
Special guests on the night also included Yorkshire Rows, the team of four women who recently broke the world record by crossing 3,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean.
