We were delighted to attend the official opening event of the The Lambert in Thirsk, which marked an important new chapter in the Herriot Hospice’s care for the local community.
As a Silver Sponsor of Herriot Hospice for 2026, Harrowells is proud to support the charity and the valuable work it carries out across North Yorkshire.
The opening of The Lambert represents an exciting expansion of the hospice’s services. While Herriot Hospice has always been able to provide care and support in people’s homes, the new facility now allows patients to receive specialist care at the hospice in Thirsk, as well as offering respite care and support for those caring for loved ones with terminal illnesses.
Alongside practical care, the hospice also provides emotional wellbeing and mental health support for patients and families during an incredibly difficult time.
The opening event welcomed around 35 guests, including local businesses and supporters, who have all played an important part in bringing the project to life. The hospice reflects the generosity and community spirit shown by local people and organisations.
Harrowells Head of Business Development and Marketing, Peter Mills, alongside Herriot Hospice’s Sophie Fisher and Deputy CEO, Tina Hedges, spoke during the event about the importance of community collaboration and the positive difference the hospice will make for local families.
We would like to congratulate everyone involved in the opening of The Lambert and look forward to continuing our support for Herriot Hospice throughout the year ahead.
